5 내 하나님이 내 마음을 감동하사 귀인들과 민장과 백성을 모아그 보계대로 계수하게 하신고로 내가 처음으로 돌아온 자의 보계를 얻었는데 거기 기록한 것을 보면0% 차이

-1차 귀환자들의 명단 소개 (5-6)

    성벽이 완공되고 이제 하나님의 도성에 거할 사람들이 필요하게 되었다. ‘하나님의 감동으로’(5) 느헤미야는 유다에 거주하는 귀환민들의 숫자와 동향을 파악하고자 했다. 그 과정에서 그는 처음으로 돌아온 자의 계보를 발견하게 된다. 여기서 ‘처음으로 돌아온 자들’은 세스바살과 함께 바벨론에서 돌아온 1차 귀환민들을 가리킨다. 

    이 모습은 다윗이 충동으로 인구조사를 하여 하나님의 분노를 자아냈던 장면이 떠오르게 한다. (대상 21:1) 그러나 기도의 사람 느헤미야는 하나님께서 감동하시는 마음을 따라 결정하였다. 

    우리가 속한 공동체를 깊은 관심과 사랑으로 바라보고 기도하며 참여할때 하나님께서 공동체 가운데 꼭 필요한 지혜를 부어주실 것이다.

-1차 귀환자들(7-65)

    1차 귀환자들의 명단이 분류가 되어 있다. 

1. 지도자들 (7)

3. 제사장과 레위인들 (39-45)
4. 성전의 일꾼들 (46-60)
5. 족보가 불분명한 사람들 (61-65)

    귀환자 명단에는 모두 18가족이 언급되고 (8-24), 20개 마을에 거주하는 사람들의 명단이 포함되어 있다(25-38). 제사장들과 노래하는 자들, 성전을 지키는 300명의 레위인들, 성전에서 일하는 하인들, 솔로몬의 종들의 후예들은 모두 392명이며, 귀환자는 모두 31,089명에 이른다. 

    이들은 고레스의 백성이 되어 편안하고 안정적인 삶을 포기하고 부르심에 응답하여 일어나 떠난 사람들이다. 바벨론에서의 안정된 정착생활을 버리고 더 나은 삶에 대한 보장이 없었음에도 예배할 수 있는 곳이기에 고향으로 돌아온 자들이다. 

    우리는 언제든지 주님을 예배할 수 있는 곳으로 떠날 준비가 되어야하고, 예배 할 수 있다면 무엇이든 포기할 수 있어야 한다.

-족보가 불분명한자들 (61-65)

    귀환 공동체가 족보를 중요하게 여기는 이유는 포로 이후 공동체 안에 남아 있던 이방적인 요소들을 제거하고, 예루살렘 성전을 중심으로 순수한 신앙 공동체를 이루려 했기 때문이다. 

    내 삶의 불손한 부분은 철저하게 제거하라.

-지도자들의 솔선 수범

    족장들과 방백들, 백성들은 성벽 재건을 위해 엄청난 재물을 바쳤다. 지도자들의 중요성을 보여준다. 지도자의 정결과 솔선수범으로 성전 공동체가 세워졌다.

    7장의 명단은 바벨론에서 돌아와 성전 건축과 공동체 재건에 헌신한 사람들과 그 후손들을 밝히는 의미를 지닌다. 이들이 바로 새 역사를 이루어갈 주인공들이다.
