NIV ‘Jehonadab son of Rekab ordered his descendants not to drink wine and this command has been kept. To this day they do not drink wine, because they obey their forefather’s command. But I have spoken to you again and again, yet you have not obeyed me.
ESV The command that Jonadab the son of Rechab gave to his sons, to drink no wine, has been kept, and they drink none to this day, for they have obeyed their father’s command. I have spoken to you persistently, but you have not listened to me.

NIV Again and again I sent all my servants the prophets to you. They said, “Each of you must turn from your wicked ways and reform your actions; do not follow other gods to serve them. Then you will live in the land I have given to you and your ancestors.” But you have not paid attention or listened to me.

NIV The descendants of Jehonadab son of Rekab have carried out the command their forefather gave them, but these people have not obeyed me.’
ESV The sons of Jonadab the son of Rechab have kept the command that their father gave them, but this people has not obeyed me.

KRV 예레미야가 레갑 족속에게 이르되 만군의 여호와 이스라엘의 하나님이 이같이 말씀하시기를 너희가 너희 선조 요나답의 명령을 준종하여 그 모든 훈계를 지키며 그가 너희에게 명한 것을 행하였도다0% 차이
NIV Then Jeremiah said to the family of the Rekabites, “This is what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says: ‘You have obeyed the command of your forefather Jehonadab and have followed all his instructions and have done everything he ordered.’
ESV But to the house of the Rechabites Jeremiah said, “Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: Because you have obeyed the command of Jonadab your father and kept all his precepts and done all that he commanded you,

NIV Therefore this is what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says: ‘Jehonadab son of Rekab will never fail to have a descendant to serve me.’ ”
ESV therefore thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: Jonadab the son of Rechab shall never lack a man to stand before me.”

하나님의 말씀에 순종하지 않는 이스라엘과 그 속에서도 선조들의 명령에 순종하는 레갑족속의 비교를 나타내고 있다.
레갑 족속이 선조의 명령에 순종하는 것이 결코 쉬웠을 것이라 생각되지 않는다.
이스라엘 민족으로써 포도주를 먹지 않는 것은, 단순한 문제가 아니다. 마치 우리나라 사람들이 김치나 고추장, 된장을 먹지 않는 정도? 그 이상일까?
그리고 집을 짓지 않는 것과 파종하지 않고 밭을 짓지 않는 것은 삶의 안정성을 포기하는 것이다.
실제적인 삶의 불편함을 감수하고, 삶의 안정성을 포기하는 삶으로 살아가는 이유가 무엇인가??
'조상들의 명령' 이었기 때문에,...
하나님의 말씀에 순종하지 않는 이스라엘과 조상들의 명령에 순종하는 레갑족속
하나님은 레갑족속에게 축복하신다. 내 앞에 설 사람이 영영히 끊어지지 아니하게 하시겠다고.
레갑족속은 조상들의 명령을 철저하게 순종함으로 하나님의 축복을 받게 되었다.
하나님은 순종하는 사람들에게 하나님의 일을 맡기신다,
순종.... 그것은 삶의 불편을 감수하고 삶의 안정성을 포기하더라도 하나님의 뜻대로 살아가는 것이아닐까....
