KRV 시드기야 왕이 예루살렘에 있는 모든 백성과 언약하고 자유를 선언한 후에 여호와께로서 말씀이 예레미야에게 임하니라0% 차이

NIV So all the officials and people who entered into this covenant agreed that they would free their male and female slaves and no longer hold them in bondage. They agreed, and set them free.

NIV But afterward they changed their minds and took back the slaves they had freed and enslaved them again.

KRV 너희 형제 히브리 사람이 네게 팔렸거든 칠 년 만에 너희는 각기 놓으라 그가 육 년을 너를 섬겼은즉 그를 놓아 자유케 할지니라 하였으나 너희 선조가 나를 듣지 아니하며 귀를 기울이지도 아니하였느니라0% 차이

NIV ‘Every seventh year each of you must free any fellow Hebrews who have sold themselves to you. After they have served you six years, you must let them go free.’ Your ancestors, however, did not listen to me or pay attention to me.

NIV Recently you repented and did what is right in my sight: Each of you proclaimed freedom to your own people. You even made a covenant before me in the house that bears my Name.

NIV But now you have turned around and profaned my name; each of you has taken back the male and female slaves you had set free to go where they wished. You have forced them to become your slaves again.

NIV “Therefore this is what the LORD says: You have not obeyed me; you have not proclaimed freedom to your own people. So I now proclaim ‘freedom’ for you, declares the LORD—‘freedom’ to fall by the sword, plague and famine. I will make you abhorrent to all the kingdoms of the earth.

KRV 송아지를 둘에 쪼개고 그 두 사이로 지나서 내 앞에 언약을 세우고 그 말을 실행치 아니하여 내 언약을 범한 너희를0% 차이

NIV Those who have violated my covenant and have not fulfilled the terms of the covenant they made before me, I will treat like the calf they cut in two and then walked between its pieces.

NIV “I will deliver Zedekiah king of Judah and his officials into the hands of their enemies who want to kill them, to the army of the king of Babylon, which has withdrawn from you.

NIV I am going to give the order, declares the LORD, and I will bring them back to this city. They will fight against it, take it and burn it down. And I will lay waste the towns of Judah so no one can live there.”

위기의 순간에 하나님의 말씀에 순종함으로 그 위기를 벗어났던 시드기야가

위기가 물러간 것 처럼 보이자 다시 하나님 말씀에 불순종을 한다.

당시 순간적으로는 하나님을 이용하여 유익을 얻은 것 같았으나... 결국 하나님은 시드기야를 저주하신다,

나도 시드기야와 같은 모습이 많지 않은가... 하나님이 필요할 때는... 하나님 앞에 순종하는 척 하고... 일이 해결되면 하나님을 잊고 살아가는...

저주 받아 마땅한 나를 여전히 하나님의 사람으로 만들어가시는 하나님의 은혜에 깊이 감사하는 하루다,
